Another Steaming Pile of Forest Planning Ire for the Dean and his Team

OSU’s forest planning team held it’s fourth “community input session” for the McDonald-Dunn Forests on October 28th, 2024.  College leaders were harshly criticized by citizens who are tired of OSU’s outdated management of these public forests – and angry about the planning team’s prioritization of industrial forestry practices.  The dean of the College of Forestry attended and fired back at public criticism, further diminishing public trust.  You can read my summary of the meeting below, or on-line in The Corvallis Advocate.  It was published on November 1st, 2024.  You can find a summary of OSU’s previous planning meeting in my blog piece:  “OSU Feels the Heat of Forest Planning Ire“.
